Maximum database size

I noticed that Highlighterr doesn't work in some of my solutions. The error log contains entries similar to following:

2011-10-03 10:24:26 - The database file is larger than the configured maximum database size. This setting takes effect on the first concurrent database connection only. [ Required Max Database Size (in MB; 0 if unknown) = 0 ]

Apparently the .sdf file size generated by my solution is larger than default 256MB allowed for SQL Server Compact database. As per http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlservercompact/archive/2007/06/13/the-story-of-max-database-size-connection-string-parameter.aspx max database size can't be set globally, you have to provide it in the connection string.

I see two possible solutions:
  1. Add some Highlighterr settings dialog with an option to configure maximum database file size
  2. Before connecting to the database, check size of .sdf file on disk and set max database size field in connection string to something slightly bigger - e.g. 1.2*<file size>

Here is a patch that changes Max Database Size to 4000. i. e. max permitted by Compact SQL.

Great work! The patch worked for me.
Too bad Highlighterr is not updated anymore because it is a really really great tool!
